Resource Formats

TeachShare supports four distinct output formats, selectable via tabs at the top of the creator box.
Format | Icon | Best For |
|---|---|---|
Pages | Document icon | Worksheets, handouts, reading passages, quizzes, graphic organizers |
Slides | Presentation icon | Direct instruction, visual aids, student presentations |
Lesson Plan | Book/stack icon | Full structured lesson plans with objectives, phases, and assessment |
Create from PDF | Upload icon | Modifying, differentiating, or extracting content from existing PDFs |
Pages
The default format, Pages produces a multi-page document resource. This is the most versatile format and is appropriate for the vast majority of classroom materials including worksheets, reading passages, vocabulary activities, and assessments.
Slides
The Slides format generates a presentation deck with structured content across multiple slides. This is useful for teachers who want to project material during instruction or assign a student-facing presentation activity.
Lesson Plan
The Lesson Plan format generates a complete instructional plan that includes learning objectives, step-by-step lesson phases (e.g., warm-up, direct instruction, guided practice, independent practice, closure), timing estimates, and assessment strategies. This is the most comprehensive output format.
Create from PDF
This format allows teachers to upload an existing PDF — such as a textbook chapter, an old worksheet, or a district-provided document — and use TeachShare's AI to transform it. The AI can differentiate the content, add scaffolding, translate it, or reformat it entirely.
Use Case: A special education teacher has a district-mandated worksheet that is too difficult for several students. They upload the PDF using "Create from PDF," then prompt TeachShare to "Simplify the language to a 2nd-grade reading level and add sentence starters for each question." The result is a fully differentiated version of the original document.
