Launchpad Resource Card Hover Actions
Launchpad Resource Card Hover Actions
When navigating the TeachShare Launchpad, managing your resources is streamlined through intuitive hover actions on each resource card. These quick actions allow you to organize, edit, and share your work without needing to open the resource fully.
Quick Hover Actions
Hovering over any resource card in the Launchpad reveals two immediate quick actions in the top-right corner of the card:
- Drag to Move (Six Dots): Allows you to click and drag the resource card to reorder it or drop it into a specific folder for organization.
- Delete (Trash Can): Instantly moves the resource to the Trash.
The Actions Menu

(Three Dots)
Next to the quick hover actions is the Actions button, represented by three dots (...). Clicking this button opens a comprehensive dropdown menu divided into two sections: Project Actions and General Actions.
Project Actions
These actions are specific to how the resource functions as an educational project or assignment:
- Customize a Copy: Creates a duplicate of the resource and immediately opens it in the Creator, allowing you to make edits without altering the original version.
- Differentiate: Opens the differentiation menu, enabling you to quickly generate adapted versions of the resource tailored to different reading levels, languages, or specific student needs.
- Share with Students: Opens the assignment panel, allowing you to generate a student link or assign the resource directly to a specific class.
General Actions
These actions handle file management and broader sharing capabilities:
- Rename: Allows you to quickly change the title of the resource directly from the Launchpad.
- Duplicate: Creates an exact copy of the resource in your Launchpad. Unlike "Customize a Copy," this action does not automatically open the new file in the Creator.
- Organize: Opens a modal to move the resource into a specific folder or create a new folder for it.
- Share: Opens the sharing panel, providing options to share an editable link with colleagues or co-teachers.
- Delete: Moves the resource to the Trash, functioning identically to the quick hover delete button.
By utilizing these hover actions, educators can efficiently manage their TeachShare workspace, ensuring that resources are organized, easily accessible, and ready to be deployed to distributed to students or colleagues.
