Export Options and Student Accounts
Export Options and Student Accounts

TeachShare provides multiple ways to distribute created resources to students, ranging from simple printed worksheets to fully integrated digital assignments with auto-grading and student insights. The export options are divided into two primary categories: assigning within TeachShare and sharing outside TeachShare.
Assign in TeachShare (Student Accounts Required)
This is the most powerful export option, unlocking TeachShare's advanced features like the Autograder, detailed student insights, and progress tracking. To use this method, you must have an active Class set up in TeachShare.
- Select a Class: In the "Assign in TeachShare" panel, you choose the specific class you want to receive the assignment from a dropdown menu.
- Student Accounts Toggle: A critical setting is the "Student Accounts" toggle. When enabled, this ensures that students must log in to their TeachShare student accounts to access the assignment. This is required to "save progress, access insights & more."
- Publishing: Once the class is selected and the toggle is set appropriately, clicking "Publish" generates a unique assignment link. This link routes students to their dedicated portal, tied directly to your Assignment Hub.
By utilizing Student Accounts, you gain access to the full suite of digital tools designed to monitor and evaluate student performance in real-time.
Share outside TeachShare (No Student Accounts)
If you prefer not to use TeachShare's internal student accounts or need a quick way to distribute materials without tracking progress within the platform, you can use the "Share outside TeachShare" options. Note that using these methods means you are "missing out on Autograder, Student Insights & more."
1. Google Classroom Integration
TeachShare integrates directly with Google Classroom. By clicking the Google Classroom icon, you can instantly create a new assignment within your connected Google Classroom courses. This is ideal for teachers whose schools mandate Google Classroom as the primary Learning Management System (LMS), allowing them to leverage TeachShare's creation tools while maintaining their existing workflow.
2. Download
The Download option allows you to export the resource as a file to your local computer. This is useful if you need to upload the resource to a different LMS (like Canvas or Schoology), attach it to an email, or save it for offline use. While the exact file formats may vary based on the resource type, this option provides maximum flexibility for distribution outside the TeachShare ecosystem. We support other LMSs on a school / district plan.
3. Print
For traditional classroom settings or students who require physical copies, the Print option generates a formatted version of the resource ready for your printer. This is perfect for creating hard-copy worksheets, assessments, or guided notes that don't require digital interaction.
By offering both integrated digital assignments and flexible external sharing options, TeachShare ensures that resources can be distributed in whatever manner best suits the teacher's classroom environment and technological constraints.
